Estimates use each vendor's published plans as of 2026-10-30. Each bill is the full monthly cost to get call answering running, including any plan, seat or phone number the vendor requires first (for example, Jobber's Core plan). Taxes, one-time fees and optional extras aren't included; each vendor page lists them. For Goodcall we assume 1.5 calls per unique customer, Goodcall's own ratio. Names on the board link to our own vendor pages, not to the vendors.

Common questions

How much does an AI receptionist cost per month?

It depends on your call volume and how the vendor bills. At our example of 200 calls a month, 3 minutes each Unverified, the 14 vendors with a published price for that usage range from $105.33 to $898.50 a month, including any plan, seat or phone number they require. Put a month from your phone log into the calculator above for your own number.

Do AI receptionists charge per minute or per call?

Both, and some use other units. Among the vendors we track, some bill by minutes of talk time, some by answered call, some by unique customer, and some charge a flat monthly price. That is why the cheapest vendor changes with your call volume and call length. Each vendor's overage terms are compared side by side.

Is there a free AI receptionist?

11 of the 20 vendors we track list a free trial or a free plan on their pricing page (read 2026-10-30). Free plans cover a set number of calls and then charge per call. See AI receptionists with a free trial or free plan.

Does Jobber have an AI receptionist?

Yes. Jobber Receptionist is a $29-a-month add-on with 30 conversations, then $0.79 each, on top of a Jobber plan; Core at $49 is the cheapest, so the lowest total is $78 a month. It's included on Jobber Plus. See Jobber AI receptionist cost and limits.

Is an AI receptionist worth it?

Only if the jobs it saves you are worth more than its full monthly bill. Divide the bill by your gross profit per job to see how many saved jobs a month cover it. Work out your break-even.

What does the monthly bill on this site include?

The full monthly cost to get calls answered: the plan, plus any base plan, seat or phone number the vendor requires first. Taxes, one-time fees and optional extras are not included. How we check prices.
